MiLLiGAN College Year-BookPART I LOCATIOJf AND HISTOET Milligan College is located in Carter County, Tennessee, abouttwenty-four miles from the North Carolina line and twenty-fivemiles from the Virginia line at Bristol. It is one hundred and sixmiles by rail from Knoxville, Tennessee; one hundred and seven-ty-five miles by rail from Roanoke, Virginia; and one hundred andfifty-one miles from Asheville, North Carolina. The main line ofthe Southern railroad runs three miles below it, the nearest stationbeing Johnson City. The C. C. & O. R. R. passes two miles south ofthe College at the station of Ocolona, and also passes through JohnsonCity. The E. T. & W. N. C. R, R., connecting Johnson City withCranberry, N. C, runs one-half mile from the campus at its station ofMilligan College.
