Historic or Old Seven Mile Bridge, with missing segment of The Overseas Highway, seen from Pigeon Key in the Florida Keys.

Historic or Old Seven Mile Bridge, with missing segment, seen from Pigeon Key in the Florida Keys. Old Seven Mile Bridge - originally: Knights Key-Pigeon Key-Moser Channel-Pacet Channel Bridge - was constructed from 1909 to 1912 as part of the Florida East Coast Railway. Design: Henry Flagler. The guard rail has been made of the old railroad tracks when the bridge was converted into Highway 1 in 1935. Nowadays it's only used as a fishing pier. The segment in this image is not connected to the mainland anymore. It's only accessible by boat.
