This is a very fine new extra early dwarf wrinkled Pea, foliage dark green and rather heavy, hanlm close jointed; the pods average fally one-third larger than the American Wonder, and while per- haps not quite so early, by a few days, are all ready for picking at one time. Each pod contains six to eight large peas, which are of unusually sweet flavor; so closely are the peas packed in the pods that they are flattened against each other, as are the Potato Limas. We regret to say that onr seed crops were again short this season, but we would re- commend amateurs and market gardeners to give this superb variety a thorough test, as it has un- doubtedly "come to ; Per pkt. 15 cts.; 2 pkts. for 25 cts.; per pint 45 cts., postpaid. Wm. A. Weightman, Huntley, Iil.,«luly 2,1894, writes :â Relative to your Burpee's Best Extra Early Peas I have to say that they are, without exception, the earliest Pea I have "ever grown'; they cropped well, and all harvested clean at two pickings, and* were of exquisite flavor [see page 35]. I found Nott's Excelsior to be the very best first early extra dwarf Pea I have yet seen, in all practical character- istics ahead of American Wonder and Premium Gem, al- though I consider the latter as ranking next best, and sow them almost exclusively for main crop. Wheeler's Tom Thumb Lettuce is a little gem, both in quality and appearance [see page 25]. The Danish Island Oats have achieved a growth which has astonished my neighbors. They are now headed out full and heavy and 'stand forty- four inches high, and do not show a sign of rust, while oats generally in this neighborhood are badly rusted [see page 51]. I want to sav this
