A Demonstration called by Help4Refugee Children, Syria Solidarity Campaign, Calais Action & RS21 in Trafalgar Square called for refugees to be treated as human beings and be given the rights defined by the Refugee Convention and later agreements. They say treating refugees in the inhuman way we currently see is unacceptable - no human is illegal - and they should have the same human rights as our own and not refused asylum, or harassed by police and herded into shocking, subhuman conditions such as the ‘Jungle’ camp at Calais.
