A young Zambian orphan on a jungle The orphanage at Nchila is located in the far northwest of Zambia. Dr Walter Fisher founded a mission here back in 1889, and the estate, known as Hillwood Farm, is still run by his descendants. It's an amazing place, including an orphanage, a school, a farm, and a reserve. It is so rewarding to see these children and the love and care they receive. As a continent, Africa has the highest number of orphans (as a percentage of all children on the continent). At Nchila Orphanage, where there was once destitution for an orphaned child, there is now hope.
