PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 28, 2016) Seaman Aldee Alpuerto, from San Francisco, relays communications using a sound-powered telephone during a live-fire exercise of an MK 38 Mod 2 machine gun aboard the USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Alpuerto communicated the weapon's status to the remote operating console operator. Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five flagship, is on patrol supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
