Lionel Strongfort poses nude in the early 1890s. He advertised himself as "America's Most Perfect Athlete" (his slogan). His real name was Max Unger (from Germany). He was a professional "strongman" who traveled the USA doing feats of strength at all kinds of events, including circuses, sideshows, county fairs, etc. Other strongmen did impressive feats of strength. But Lionel was one of the very first to reduce his body fats in order to show the muscles. He was a vegetarian, who taught healthy eating.
