Al-Jundi was also shot and killed by Israeli forces when he allegedly stabbed an Israeli soldier, and then tried to grab the soldier’s weapon. Since the beginning of the month of October, 20 Palestinians have been killed in the recent escalation of violence between Israeli forces and Palestinians. Eight Palestinians were killed on October 09 2015 in Gaza, during a demonstration close to the border with Israeli forces. There have been over 1,000 reported injuries by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in both the West Bank and Gaza. Four Israelis have also been killed during the recent violence, including two illegal Israeli Jewish settlers who were gunned down inside the West Bank, near Nablus.
