The vintage one-lane Blackburn Point Road Bridge was erected in 1926 and is one of only three swing truss bridges in the state of Florida, USA. This steel span of 142 feet ( meters) pivots at its center to open for boaters passing through the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway between the barrier island of Casey Key and the mainland at Osprey in Sarasota County. This unique bridge is on the National Register of Historic Places.
