German Chancellery Office at night

The building designed by Berlin architect Axel Schulte was opened in 2001 following the move of Germany's seat of government from Bonn to Berlin in 1999. It has 12,000 square metres of floor space which makes it the largest government headquarters in the world (8 times the size of the White House).
