This image shows a winter panorama view of the Quabbin Reservoir taken from Enfield Overlook. The town of Enfield once would have been visible below but was was submerged to create the Reservoir. Prescott Hill is located in the foreground. The Quabbin Reservoir is the chief supply of drinking water to approximately 2,000,000 inhabitants of eastern Massachusetts, in New England. The Reservoir was created in the late 1930's and in the process four entire New England towns were taken by imminent domain and the residents put off their land.
