The commercial displays, naturally, were the subject of considerable study, the florists of each city desiring to see what their colleagues in other cities were doing. Some fine things were shown, especially in view of the fact that it was early in the season for some of the varieties. The feature of this section was un- doubtedly the display of Red Ophelia roses, a seedling between Ophelia and Hoosicr Beauty, produced by W. W. Oray, of Oakton, Va. The new rose has a beautiful bud and splendid foliage, combining the yellow of the Ophelia with the deep crimson of Hoosier Beauty, but without any tinge of blue. A centerpiece in a pumpkin, using yellow chrysanthemums and pompons, calendulas and red berries, was shown by TJohort L. , of Baltimore. P
