'The English Democrats' campaign for an English Parliament and for St George's Day to be made an English national holiday. An important aspect of their campaign is to reclaim ideas of Englishness and the flag of St George from racist groups including the BNP. Also in the square were women wearing costumes including the English flag making a charity collection for 'Save the Children'. The pictures reflects the inclusive nature of the English Democrats, including a Spanish and an Irish woman.
