Mayor translated freely whateverappeared to be the most prominent features ofthis novel invention, and published them in thework from which we have taken his system. Per-ceiving fully the advantages that might be deri-vable from the new system, he adopted it exclu-sively, and having submitted it to the test of four-teen years experience and observation both in theHospital of Lausanne and in his private practicein the Canton, which was very extensive, he pub-lished, under the title of Me4moire sur V Hyponar-thbcie the various modifications he had deemednecessary,
