No paltry performancehasever been allowed to lower the reputation of this house. The highest class of entertainment is whatMr. Conklin will ever permit to be given there, and the fact that a play is going to be represented at theGrand is sufficient recommendation of its quality and merits. Mr. Conklin was formerly assistantmanager of the Academy of Music, and having exquisite taste as a musician would allow only the bestclass of performance.
