Tourists enjoy the sunshine and cafes outside the Malaga is a city that has developed rapidly following the rise of mass tourism to the nearby Costa del Sol. Despite its rapid growth and modernisation it has retained much of the charm of the Old Quarter and its Cathedral which is known as the 'one armed lady' after funds ran out to complete the second tower. Malaga is also the birthplace of Picasso.
