A German hunting spear, ca. 1500. Tapering blade of articulate diamond section on a ridged square, then octagonal socket with an iron ring with leather-bound staghorg peg and the original plaited tassel. The slightly bent ashwood(?) shaft decorated with rectangular knobs over the lower two thirds of its length and with an inventory label of the Dorgerloh Foundation. Length 223 cm.
