Cumbria, England: Kirkandrews-upon-Esk. St Andrew's Church was built in 1775 on a north-south axis (unusual) for the Rev. Dr Robert Graham of Netherby. The red sandstone south door and belltower with a sundial, added in 1918 to mark the safe return of two sons of the family from the Great War, carries the Latin motto 'Lux Post Umbram' - light after darkness/shadow.
