The local church is of ancient foundation, andis much venerated by the faithful. A modern edifice has ofrecent years been erected to accommodate the increasing bandsof devout pilgrims who resort to the wonder-working shrine ofSte. Anne. Over the high altar in the church is a valuablepainting by the famous Le Brun, entitled Ste. Anne and theVirgin. It is said that over 80,000 pilgrims visit here an-nually.
