The site selected is atTribes Hill, on the Mohawk River, a few miles from Amster-dam, at a point where the interurban road leaves the river,which it has paralleled all the way from Schenectady. Thebuilding is on a level with the tracks of the New York Central& Hudson River Railroad, which it faces, and is about 40 ft. front side of the building. The roof of the engine room sectionis supported on steel trusses and perlins. The coal bunkers are located on the boiler room roof, whichis approximately on a level with the interurban track, and theyare reached by a steel viaduct, cars being run in from the mainline and coal dumped into the bunkers, five in number, having August 29, 1903.] STREET RAILWAY JOURNAL. 309 a total capacity of 1200 tons.
