Army Spc. Zachary Nicholson, an infantryman with 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, attempts to arm lock his opponent on day 1 of the 2022 All Army Combatives Championship, Lacerda Cup, at Fort Benning, Georgia, April 5. The combatives competition is named in honor of the late Staff. Sgt. Pedro Lacerda of the 75th Ranger Regiment, and recognizes outstanding performance in hand-to-hand fighting skills known in the Army as combatives.
