Taplow, UK. 27th October, 2023. There was a large amount of white foam on the Jubilee River today in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. The Jubilee River is a man made flood alleviation scheme, managed by the Environment Agency, that takes excess water in times of heavy rain and so helps to protect Windsor, Maidenhead and Dorney from flooding. Plant debris, brown sludge and duckweed has backed up behind the yellow boom floats by the weir but in the actual weir on the Jubliee River and after it, there was much more white foam than usual on the surface of the river today.
