Thesematches are immediately followed by theregatta of the Royal Western Club, atPlymouth. There is no prettier course inEnglish waters than the one sailed outthrough old Plymouth Sound. The areawithin the breakwater is close upon twenty-five miles, bounded on the west by therichly-wooded heights of Mount Edge-cumbe, and on the east by Mount Battenand the Wembury cliffs.
