During the fall of last year, considerable expenditures were made in improve^ments on the church building, in neatly inclosing it, and in adorning the groundswith shrubbery and shade trees. The membership at this time is about sixty. The Sunday-School numberseighteen teachers, and one hundred and forty pupils. The seats are all free. Therectors salary is paid by subscription, and the current expenses by the offertory. EPISCOPAL MISSION. A flourishing Mission, sustained by St. Pauls Parish, has been established inthe north-western part of the city, A suitable site has been purchased; and du-. INDIANAPOLIS. RELIGIOUS. 207 ring the present year, Saint Pauls Chapel (Second) will be completed; the site andbuilding to cost about $5,000. Pending the appointment of an Assistant Ministei of Saint Pauls the Mission■will continue to be served by the Rector, the Rev. Mr. Walden; who conducts itsregular religious services every Thursday evening, in the temporary buildingoccupied by the Mission. Of Sundays its members attend the services in SaintPauls Cathedral. The Sabbath-School, of which Mr. S. R. Lippencott, is Superintendent, andMrs. Harriet Preston, Lady Manager, is in a flourishing condition.
