Horizontal wide angle view of the City Hall and the circular ampitheatre 'the Scoop' outside which makes up part of the More London Riverside Development on the south bank of the River Thames against a brilliant blue sky. Known by many different nicknames such as 'the Pineapple' and 'Fosters Nutsack', City Hall is the headquarters of the Greater London Authority and the Mayor of London, currently Boris Johnson. Designed by Norman Foster, it opened in July 2002.
