Autumn Steam Fair


47298 was built by the Hunslet Engine Co. Ltd. at Leeds and entered into service in 1924 as 7138 but was renumbered 7298 in 1935. Initially it was allocated to Camden, four years later it was moved to Northampton until 1941 then moved to Willesden. In 1942 it moved to bletchley until 1954. Whilst here it was renumbered 47298 following the nationalisation of the railways. Information obtained from Preserved British Steam Locomotives.
