This species appears closely allied to T. indicus, and it has beensuggested ( Palaeontographica, vol. xv. pp. 170-171) that it is spe-cifically identical with T. arvernensis, but it is generally of con-siderably larger size; if the two be identical, the latter name hasthe priority.
