This is the Southeast face Mount Kenya as it was in 1976/77 with the peak of Batian 17,058ft; 5199m on the left of The snowy gap in the centre is the Gates of Mists at the head of the Diamond Couloir. The jagged peak to the right is Point John 16,020ft; 4883m while the lesser peak to the left is Midget Peak 15,420ft; 4700m.
