(Ireenhouse Heating. HEATED WITH 4-INCH PIPES. Enclosed you will find two diagrams of my greenhouses. You will notice that in the two connected houses the two pipes running from the boiler are fed by one main. Both pipes ascend to the farther end of the house and the one marked E. P. descends to the boiler. All are 4-inch water pipes. Is the pip- ing properly installed? In the other house there are also two 4-inch pipes, both fed by a single main, but in this ?case both pipes descend to the boiler, after rising to the highest point at the farther end. I am located in north- western Missouri. L. M. S. One of the sketches shows two houses, each 20x40 feet, with one 4-foot wall exposed in each house. The heating is done by two 4-inch flow pipes, which run along the exposed walls in each house, with a 4-inch return alongside. The temperature desired is not stated, but it would not ^ib possible to main- tain a higher tempwature than 40 de- grees when it is zero outside, and to obtain that temperature along the inner wall of the houses the return pipes should be carried across the ends of the houses and back to the boiler along the side opposite the flow pipes. For €0 degrees run three flows and three returns in each house. The other sketch shows a house 20x50 feet, which has two flows and two re- turns put in as recommended above. This
