Towards the base of the wings is a very obscui-e transverse strigse, and the space between theouter mai-gin and the ocellus of the hind wmgs is of a richer pm-pUsh red. The antennje are dark fulvous-brown,and the head and body are red brown. The colouring on the underside of the wings is nearly similar, but thestrigje are almost obhterated. Expansion of the fore wings rather more than 5^ inches. Inhabits Communicated by Lieutenant Robinson.
