Sheis elegantly attired in a gown of pale blue damask, besprinkled with purple,golden yellow and rosy blossoms, down the front of which descends a panel ofpearly-gray with an arabesque design in gold, rose, green and blue. Hersubject is seated at the left of the easel—an oldish gentleman, whose kneesembrace a large chaufferette.
