Schweriner Schloss is a castle in Schwerin, the capital of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany. Major parts of the current castle were built between 1845 and 1857 It is located on an island in the city's lake, Schweriner See. For centuries the castle was the home of the dukes and grand dukes.
