Church of the Nativity of the Theotokos in the Bogolyubsky Monastery in Bogolyubovo near Vladimir, Russia. The church was built on the medieval foundation of the white-stone palace of Grand prince Andrey Bogolyubsky, the ruler of Vladimir-Suzdalian Rus from 1157 to 1174, the remains of which are still preserved and seen at the left. Andrey Bogolyubsky was assassinated in this palace in 1174. Also spelled Bogolubovo and Bogolubsky Monastery.
