Electroless nickel plating factory. Oil and gas valves ready to be plated with SeaTEC 100 Marine Corrosion Protection at NiTEC, UK. NiTEC specialises in electroless nickel plating, a process that relies on the presence of a reducing agent, such as hydrated sodium hypophosphite, which reacts with the metal ions to deposit metal, instead of the electric current used in traditional electroplating. The SeaTEC 100 coating is used to increase the longevity of components used in subsea conditions by protecting mild steel from salt spray corrosion and marine corrosion for an extensive period of time.
