Dunnottar Castle Stonehaven


Dun was a pictish term for place of strength. In 1297 the castle which was held by the English was stormed by William Wallace. Currently it is Owned by the Cowdray / Pearson Family of Dunecht Estates Aberdeenshire and Cowdray Park, Midhurst, West Sussex England
