VICENZA, Italy -- Army Paratroopers assigned to 2nd Battalion (Airborne), 503rd Infantry Regiment "The Rock", 173rd Airborne Brigade pose for a team photo after winning 1st place in the Running of the Herd 24 hour relay race on July 18th, 2018. The Running of the Herd is an annual 173rd Airborne Brigade event honoring fallen Paratroopers. Competitors must complete as many laps as possible around Caserma Del Din's mile perimeter road before time runs out. This team completed 50 laps in 24 hours, rucking approximately 115 miles.
