La MoineRiver is a most delightful stream, affording wa-ter at all seasons of the year for immense ma-chinery. It has been examined by competent en-gineers from its mouth to this CITY, and theestimated cost to construct dams, with locks tomake it a perpetual navigable stream, is $30, water-power gained by the construction ofsaid dams must, and will, pay 10 per cent per an-num on the stock exclusive of tolls.
