This beet will yield as much as most mangels, and contains eight per cent, of sugar. Has yielded thirty to forty tons per acre, at a cost of five cents per bushel. The large amount of healthy, nutritious food which "is produced at so small a cost and its great value for cattle, sheep, and swine make this root very profitable for stock farmers. The beets grow to a large size, and are even more perfect in shape than shown in the illustra- tion ; very free from side roots. Per pkt. 5 cts.; oz. 10 cts.; % ft> 20 cts.; per Bb45 cts.
