Afr. Mus. coll.). Distribution. Great Fish Bay, Angola (Thiele). Remarks. This does not seem to be synonymous with any of Bartsch's species. The short, blunt protoconch, nodulous almost from its nucleus, is distinctive. The protoconchs and juveniles collected by Dr. Muir show that retusa is merely the juvenile of algoensis.
