Holed-Stone at Newtown, near Trim.—The sketch showsa holed-stone which has not, so far as I know, been hitherto is placed on a grave about 60 feet north of the nearest angle ofthe east wall of the old cathedral at Newtown. The monument is a rough limestone flag, 16 inches in breadthand 5 inches in thickness ; it stands 2 feet above ground, and the. Holed Stone at Newtown, near Trim. upper angles are slightly rounded. The perforation is 4| inchesbelow the top, and tapers from about 2J inches at each face of thestone to half that size in the centre, thus exhibiting the usual shapeof such openings. The people of the district do not seem to attribute any remarkablequalities to it.—Henry S. Crawford. Erratum Accounts of a Dublin Harpsichord Maker (vol. xliv, p. 338).—On p. 340, the price of Hon. Mrs Herberts piano should be£20 9s. 6d. ; the figure £30 12s. 7}d. is properly the total of theaccount.
