A German flintlock pistol/hunting hanger combination, circa 1760 Double-edged blade of lenticular cross-section. Long ricassos with a bronze barrel screwed onto the obverse side. Fine flintlock mechanism with cut springs. The reverse side is finely etched with hunting scenes framed by scrollwork. Remnants of gilding. Openwork flash-guard. Brass hilt with floral and rocaille ornamentation in relief and remnants of gilding. One quillon a replacement.
