Several minor calyces, more or less rounded and indefi-nitely outlined, may occasionally appear in the normalpelvis. Even though a few of the minor calyces are not 68 PYELOGRAPHY well defined, as long as the outlines of the other calyces arenormal, one may usually infer that the entire pelvis isnormal. In Fig. 34 the minor calyces are not well definedin the upper major calyces, which appear rounded.
