A French wheellock pistol, circa 1620 Two-stage barrel with retracted cannon muzzle in 9 mm calibre, octagonal and grooved then round after a girdle. Wheellock with external wheel. Chiselled pan, wheel mounting as well as cock and cock spring. The full stock with inlays made from engraved and coloured bone. Replaced wooden ramrod with horn tip. Some inlays on the stock as well as the nosepiece are replacements. One small crack near the lock.
