Scutum Star Cloud in the Milky Way, with the bright and rich Wild Duck Cluster, aka Messier 11, embedded in the Star Cloud at upper left. The smaller open star cluster M26 is at bottom centre, while the globular cluster NGC 6712 is at lower left, with the small green planetary nebula IC 1295 visible beside it to the left. The area is a study in contrasts between the rich star clouds of the Milky Way and the dark lanes of interstellar dust. The most prominent and densest is at upper right, Barnard 103. At top is B110. The general regime of interstellar dust in the region yellows the star fields. Photographed on 24/25 June 2023.
