During the morning and evening rush hours about290 cars per hour now pass around the loops, 110 onthe inner track, eighty on the middle track and 100 onthe outer track. This is no faster than the rate atwhich the old loops were handling cars, but now theincreased standing capacity on the loops makes it pos-sible for cars to remain there long enough to afford.
