Bramwell as its president; later,the Western States mission and theMontana missions were merged intoone field and called the NorthwesternStates Mission, with Elder Bramwell aspresident. This mission made almostphenomenal progress; in fact, it in-creased so rapidly in membership,part-ly by conversion and partly by im-. migration of Saints from other partsof the country, that on June 9,1901, the Union Stake of Zion wasorganized out of a part of themission, with Elder Bramwell as Stakepresident.
