Subway buffs, New Yorkers, and confused tourists travel back through subway time
Subway buffs, New Yorkers, and confused tourists travel back through subway time on Sunday, October 26, 2014 on a vintage Lo-V (Low Voltage) MTA Nostalgia Train. The train was brought out to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the New York Subway, on October 27, 1904. The Lo-V cars date from as far back as 1916 and were used until the 1960's. The train ran for several hours on the West Side line which was part of the original system. The brian will also run on Monday, the anniversary date. The cars normally reside in the New York City Transit Museum in downtown Brooklyn where they can be visited every day. (© Richard B. Levine)
