Pleasantville, Pennsylvania - The site of Pithole City, an oil boomtown that grew to 15,000 residents in a few months after oil was struck in 1865 along Pithole Creek. The town declined almost as quickly when the oil ran dry and fires swept the city's wooden buildings. Pithole City is a satellite site of the Drake Well Museum and Park.
