Dr. Warren was born in Fryeburg, Maine, Janu-ary 20,1833, the son of Isaiah (July 3,1795-April 24, 1875) and Ann(Walker) Warren, thus having back of him a long line of notedancestors, dating back to a very early period when James Warrenof Berwick, Scotland, immigrated to this country and settled atKittery, Maine. His grandfather Ichabod Warren married JaneMclntyre (born in 1735). On his maternal side, he was descendedfrom Captain Timothy Walker who fought with distinction in thebattle of Bunker Hill, and he was always proud to relate that hecarried some of the same blood that coursed through the veins ofthe Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower.
