Around a thousand people, many with model dolphins of various sizes and hand-painted posters, gathered in Leicester Square for a march organised by London against the Dolphin Massacre to march to the Japanese embassy. They were protesting against the continuing annual slaughter of dolphins in Taiji cove, where the animals are herded in by fishermen and attacked with knives and poles, their blood turning the water red.
